Route Resolver Rules Filter Criteria examples

The following lists some examples of filter criteria for the Route Resolver Rules form (on page 1):

Example 1: To search for the vessel visit for a full export container by line operator

For example, to search for a vessel visit based on the container's line operator and port of discharge or second port of discharge, you can define the following criteria using the Search All Visits or Search Visits for a Service action:

In this example, N4 will search for vessel visits in the NASI carrier service for full ANL export containers, but if the full export container's line operator is CHL N4 will not search for a vessel visit and will instead produce an error at the gate if the vessel visit is unknown. For all other full export containers, N4 will search all vessel visits. For empty export containers without a valid vessel visit or port of discharge, N4 will produce an error at the gate.

Example 2: To search for the port of discharge for an export container

For example, to search for a port of discharge based on the container's line operator, vessel visit, and second port of discharge, you can define the following filter criteria using the Find POD from Service action:

In this example, N4 will search for the port of discharge in the itinerary for the vessel visit specified in the gate form that has a sub-point equal to the second port of discharge specified in the gate form for all full export containers.

For example, in the Receive Export (RE) gate form if the gate clerk specifies a vessel visit with the following itinerary:

And SHA for the container's second port of discharge, N4 will select HKG as the port of discharge for the export container.

Example 3: To use a specific port of discharge for an export container by line operator, carrier service, and second port of discharge

For example, to use a specific port of discharge for a carrier service that contains more than one port of discharge for the same sub-point, you can define the following filter criteria using the Route to Selected POD action:

In this example, N4 will use the port of discharge specified in the action for an export container if the gate clerk specifies:

If the line operator is ANL, N4 uses SIN. If the line operator is BIL, N4 uses HKG.

The itinerary for the vessel visit specified must contain routing points SIN and HKG and the sub-point SHA for both routing points.
